Portuguese Amateur Championship Result

Four players were selected by the Golfing Union of Ireland to compete in the Portuguese Amateur Open Championship at Montado Golf Club last weekend and included Paul Cutler (Portstewart), Alan Dunbar (Rathmore), Eddie McCormack (Galway) and Jeff Hopkins (Skerries). 

Paul Cutler won the Lytham Trophy in 2010 and was also a member of the European Amateur and Home Internationals Teams.

Alan Dunbar won the Irish Amateur Open Championship in 2010 and was also a member of the European Amateur and Home Internationals Teams.

Jeff Hopkins finished runner-up in the 2010 Irish Youths Amateur Close Championship while Eddie McCormack finished runner-up in the 2010 West of Ireland Amateur Open Championship.

The Championship was reduced to 54 holes due to inclement weather
