The New Breed v the Establishment?

Stan Awtrey:
Watch out New Breed, the Establishment isn't ready to step to the side just yet. First,Tiger Woods will come back with a vengeance, so mark him down for three or four wins. Things will improve for Phil Mickelson, so put him down for at least a couple of wins. Jim Furyk, fresh from being named Player of the Year, will win at least a pair. And Stewart Cink, who hasn't won since the 2009 British Open Championship, will win again, too. That's already too much for the New Breed to overcome. The 20-something crowd will continue to make progress, but it's going to require some heavy lifting to catch their older brethren.

Craig Dolch:
With players joining the PGA TOUR at such a young age, the line between the New Breed and the Establishment is blurred. For instance, Rory McIlroy is going to be considered a tested veteran by the time he's 25. Still, winning on the PGA TOUR is an acquired skill. It takes time for the young players to figure out how to win. They will make mistakes because of their youth. A look at last year's final money list is a revealing one: It shows that eight of the top nine players are in their 30s, the lone exception being Dustin Johnson (26). That's why you have to go with the Establishment, especially when you consider veterans like FedExCup winner and Player of the Year Jim Furyk, Steve Stricker and Ernie Els are still going strong.

Melanie Hauser:
I'm going with the Establishment. Experience does count and those guys have it. Does that mean they run the tables? Nope. They'll learn from the kids, who aren't afraid of anything. The kids got our attention in 2010, big time, with major wins, major runs and major games. Better yet, they made the established players regroup. We'll see plenty of both this year, but at the close of 2011, the older folks, led by you know who, will have a slight edge.

Helen Ross:
As talented as players like Rickie Fowler, Anthony Kim, Dustin Johnson and Camilo Villegas are, I have to go with the Establishment. After all, the likes of Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Steve Stricker, Ernie Els and Jim Furyk -- to name a few -- have proven repeatedly that they have multiple win-seasons in them. There's no reason to expect that to change in 2011. The New Breed is still learning how to win, and as we all know, that's difficult to do on the PGA TOUR.

Brian Wacker:
The Establishment. I'm an old-school guy so I tend to side with that side. Plus, the New Breed has been too inconsistent, at least when it comes to winning. From that standpoint, I like the odds for Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jim Furyk and others to still rack up more wins than the kids. It won't be long before that changes, but to quote Mercury Morris, don't call me when you're in my town, call me when you're on my block.
