Hyun-Ji Kim of Korea won her second Ladies European Tour event on Sunday after carding a final round of 65 to retain the Daishin Securities Tomato M Korea European Ladies Masters.
Kim started the day four shots off the lead and picked up seven birdies on a calm and sunny final day at Haevichi Country Club in Jeju, South Korea with back-to-back birdies at the first and second and fired three more at the fourth, eighth and ninth for a five-under-par outward total of 31, to be just one stroke behind the leader, Korean No.2 Soo-Jin Yang.
Kim added two more birdies at the 14th and 15th before setting the clubhouse lead on eight-under.
Once again South African Lee-Anne Pace showed why she is the European money leader by finishing with a final round of 66 for a share of seventh place at three-under-par for the tournament – extending her hold on the Henderson Money List over Laura Davies.
Melissa Reid of England, who held a share of the lead after the first and second rounds, tied for ninth with Paraguayan Julieta Granada and four others on two-under-par after a final round of 75.
Laura Davies finished 45th after a round of 72 and unable to make up for the round of 78 on the opening day.
Having missed the cut in Korea Rebecca Coakley, Martina Gillen and Tara Delaney of Team Ireland now make their way to the Hero Honda Women’s Indian Open at the DLF Golf & Country Club in New Delhi, India, where they will be joined by Hazel Kavanagh.
