Tiger Woods and Mark O’Meara made a successful return to Emirates Golf Club, winning the Omega Dubai Desert Classic Challenge Match on Tuesday.
The American pair, who have won the Omega Dubai Desert Classic three times between them, took on Lee Westwood and Miguel Angel Jiménez and Jeev Milkha Singh and Noh Seung-yul over the Emirates Golf Club’s Par 3 course.
Woods and O’Meara were four under par for the nine hole Challenge, with Westwood and Jiménez two under par an Singh and Seung-yul one under par.
Packed galleries watched the floodlit Challenge Match, which was spearheaded by World Number One Westwood, runner up in the overall tournament last year after losing in a play-off to Jiménez, and 14 time Major Champion Woods.
Woods said: “It's always fun to play with Mark. We don't play as much as we used to. Obviously he's on the Senior Tour now and it's nice to catch up and play and we'll have dinner this week. It's always fun.
“He's like my big brother and it's always fun to get out there and play with him. I hit some good shots and he made all the putts!”
