Ireland's Lisa and Leona Maguire (Slieve Russell) compete this week at the Harder Hall Invitational Championship, played at the Harder Hall Golf and Country Club in Sebring, Florida, January 5th -8th, 2011.
The Harder Hall Invitational is one of the five tournaments, hosted by clubs in Florida during January, which form the Orange Blossom Tour. The Maguire twins will also compete in next week's South Atlantic (Sally) Amateur Championship at Oceanside Country Club in Ormond Beach, Florida.
Day 2 - Thursday 6th January
A two hour delay on day two of the tournament, due to thunder and lightening, saw a number of players, including Leona Maguire, fail to complete their second round before play was suspended due to darkness. Play will resume at 07:30 local time when the remainder of the field will complete round two before comencing play of the third round.
Day 1 - Wednesday 5th January
Round one of the 72 hole stroke play tournament saw Californian Ashleigh Albrecht score a new course record with a 9 under par opening round of 63, over the 6151 yard course. Ireland's Leona and Lisa Maguire got their tournament off to a solid start with rounds of 72 and 74 to be in tied 13th and 21st places respectively.
