No Singapore Slings for Murphy

Padraig Harrington has set an early pace on Thursday after an eagle on the par five 6th hole on The Tanjosa course at the Barclays Singapore Open and is now four under par - in share of third place – three behind current leader Chris Wood on 7 under.

Darren Clarke has just gone three under after a birdie on 6.

Gareth Maybin is two under through ten holes.

Damien McGrane is 2 under on the Serapong Course through four holes after an eagle three at the fourth.

Michael Hoey is level after eight holes and joins Paul McGinley – who has only played four holes.

Shane Lowry’s chase for a top 60 place in The Race to Dubai took a setback when he double bogeyed the fifth to go 1 over par through 15 holes.

Any hopes Gary Murphy had of swinging a major result this week evaporated after four bogeys and a triple bogey on the 12th and is now 7 over par through 14 holes.

Peter Lawrie and Graeme McDowell have yet to tee off.
