Bubba Watson will take a cue from the tennis fashions at Wimbledon by wearing an all-white outfit each day he plays at the Masters.
Watson, who wears clothes designed by Travis Mathew, will be making his third career appearance at Augusta National. He is the only one of the eight PGA TOUR pros on the Travis Mathew “team” who has an invite to this year’s Masters.
Annmarie Dodd of The Khaki Crusader, the website that broke the news, wrote that, “The idea is to find one signature look, one comfort zone, and let it play out as it will. One outfit for one tournament. I think this may be a first. It’s certainly the first I’ve ever heard of in modern golf.”
Watson’s visor is supplied by Ping, which plans to give him a special, matching visor to wear at Augusta.
