Twenty-Three Asian Tour Players in Top 200

Y.E. Yang of Korea reclaimed his spot as the highest ranking Asian in the world after finishing second at the Honda Classic in Florida on Sunday.

Yang, Asia’s first Major champion, moved to 29th place to lead 22 other Asian Tour members in the top-200 of the Official World Golf Ranking.


Countrymen Kim Kyung-tae and Asian Tour honorary member K.J. Choi lie in 33rd and 45th places respectively while Japanese Hiroyuki Fujita, a two-time Asian Tour champion, occupies 49th place.

Vijay Singh of Fiji, also an Asian Tour honorary member, sits one rung outside the top-50 followed by Korea’s Noh Seung-yul, the reigning Asian Tour Order of Merit winner, in 65th place.

Former Order of Merit champions Liang Wen-chong of China and Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand are placed 76th and 77th respectively while Japanese Tetsuji Hiratsuka is ranked 78th.

Welshman Rhys Davies (86th) made up the final Asian Tour presence in the top-100.

Asian Tour members in the world’s top-200 include: Jbe Kruger of South Africa (118th), India’s Arjun Atwal (123rd), Thailand’s Thaworn Wiratchant (148th), Australian Marcus Fraser (168th), Daisuke Maruyama of Japan (171st), Rikard Karlberg of Sweden (173rd), Indians Jeev Milkha Singh (175th) and Gaganjeet Bhullar (176th), Korean Bae Sang-moon (177th), Thailand’s Pariya Junhasavasdikul (186th) and Kiradech Aphibarnrat (189th), Bangladeshi Siddikur (197th) and Australian Andrew Dodt (198th).
