Last School Day Tough for Irish


At Arcos Gardens on Sunday Wade Ormsby of Australia shot around of 68 to post the lead in round three on 7 under to hold a two shot lead from Christophe Brazilier of France. 

Gareth Shaw of Team Ireland ended the day with a round of 75 - and fourteen shots adrift of the leader – to remain 7 over par ahead of Mondays final round - in 50th place. 

Jonathan Caldwell of Team Ireland saw his European Tour aspirations also fade after carding a 78 to end day three on 12 over par. 

Michael McGeady of McCambridge Duffy is on 19 over par - after signing for a 76 – to miss out on Stage 3 this season. 

Costa Ballena Golf 
Due to the rain delay of Saturday one player failed to complete the third round on Sunday following the late start – and will do so at 8:40hrs on Monday – so the third round scores are not yet complete. 

The final round is scheduled to start at 09:20 on Monday for Damian Mooney, Niall Kearney, David Mortimer and Michael Collins. 

Hacienda del Alamo 
Nico Bollini of USA carded a round of to lead on 13 under on Sunday night and hold a three stroke lead from fellow American, Scott Harrington. 

Niall Turner will miss out on further qualifying school this season with a nine over par total score after signing for a third round 70. 

El Valle Golf Resort 
Raphael De Sousa of Switzerland is 11 under after a round of 68 to hold an lead from Sebi Garcia of Spain. 

Gary Murphy's added to his efforts of Saturday with a round of 70 on Sunday to move up the leader board to 29th place one over par. 

Barrie Trainor fought back with a round of 67 to move up to 35th place on 2 over par. 

Stephen Grant however moved the other way after signing for a 72 to fall back to four over par - facing a tough challenge for the last day to make the cut. 

Mervyn Owens on seven over par saw his chances fade as well after carding a 73 on Sunday. 

Second Stage consists of four rounds, with a place in the Final Stage at PGA Golf Catalunya next month at stake.
