Kearney Shoots 65 at Q School

Niall Kearney fired a third round 65 at European Tour Qualifying School Stage 2 to move to a share of 9th place - on 7 under – joining Damian Mooney who carded around of 69 on Sunday at Costa Ballena Golf in Jerez.

Michael Collins of FORE Ireland fought back in the delayed third round to sign for a 68 and moves up to 35th place on 2 under par – within sight of the cut for a place at the Final stage with eighteen hoiles left to play on Monday.

For David Mortimer the long season of double PGA Titles – winning the Glenmuir PGA Championship at The Oxfordshire and the Irish PGA at Seapoint – will end disappointingly after the Connemara native signed for a 76 on 6 over par and not able to make a final assault at the PGA Catalunya next week for a 2011 European Tour card.

Eirik Tage Johansen of Norway currently leads on 12 under after a third round 65.
